How to Sponsor Your Family for a Family Visa in the UAE
The UAE's developing business climate provides employment and investment possibilities to millions of international nationals. Dubai's expat population has grown year after year as an industrial powerhouse and well-known tourism destination. To accommodate such a diversified foreign population, the UAE government has taken specific steps to safeguard expatriates' safety and success. One of the services it offers is the Family Visa, which permits an employee's or investor's family to relocate to the UAE and live as residents.

Types of visas (Investor visas / Work visas) You must sponsor your family.

The two most prevalent kinds of visas given to expats in the UAE are investor visas and employment visas. To be eligible to sponsor his or her family, the candidate must have any of the two.

In the event of a work visa, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will approve all expatriate papers before forwarding them to the Immigration department (in mainland setup). Employees of freezone companies may sponsor family members without obtaining a permission from the Ministry of Labor.

Entrepreneurs are awarded investor visas with a three-year maximum. In order to bring relatives into the UAE, the investor must reside in the country or return within six months after leaving. If these standards are not satisfied, a renewal will be required to re-enter the UAE.

Permission to Enter for Family Members

The entrance permission requirements for the UAE are straightforward. The entrance permit, sometimes known as a 'Pink Visa,' permits the dependant to enter the UAE and apply for a resident visa. The papers and costs necessary for obtaining an admission permit for family members are listed below.

Fees and Documentation

For entrance permission applications, go to the Department of Naturalization and Residency Dubai (DNRD).

The applicant must submit a completed application for an entrance permission to the immigration service.

Dependents' most recent passports, valid for at least six months

Photographs of dependents at passport size on a white backdrop.

Salary certificate and original employment contract

Three-month bank statement and tenancy contract

Spouse

Original and copy of a legally translated and certified marriage certificate

Minimum monthly salary of AED 4000 or AED 3000 plus accomodation in the case of a spouse

Children

The original and a copy of the child's birth certificate

In the event of a daughter above the age of 18, the petitioner must produce an attested declaration confirming her marital status.

Parents

Family Residency Visas

After the dependant has entered the country, the next stage is to get a residence visa. The applicant must submit almost the same papers in order for the resident visa procedure to begin, thus carrying additional copies is a smart way to go. Aside from the documentation above indicated, the dependant must have the following extra documents.

        • * Display your entrance permission (Pink Visa)
        • * Form signed by both the dependant and the sponsor
        • * Original passports, as well as those of the dependant and sponsor
        • * Each dependant must provide three passport-sized pictures with a white backdrop.
        • * Original and copy of the sponsor's residency visa
        • * Each dependent's medical fitness certificate/health card
        • * Each dependent's health insurance certificate
        • * Original Emirates ID card and labour card

For a Newborn Child
